T-shirt design printing is amazingly popular for the people who love to be ironic and witty, people who love to be funny. All though one can easily buy a humorous T-shirt in any outlet, a lot of people prefer making their own private ones. You can use whatever you want. You can print a funny phrase which only a few of your friends may know or a joke which is only known to a few.

3) There are different types of possible printed t-shirts that can be created by using various styles of transfer sheets. Iron-on paper is best suitable for a light coloured printed t-shirt while a glittered sheet is best for a formal kind of dark printed t-shirt.

Let's take a look at screen printing. Screen printing is the method of developing an image on to a screen, most generally a nylon screen nowadays, and then placing ink through the screen on to a T shirt. This is the old school tried and true method that some purists think is the only way to go about making a cool t shirt. Well, it is a great method, but not nearly the only method available. Screen printing can be relatively expensive if you get a 4 color machine with the rotating arms that looks like a partially amputated octopus. You have to also have supplies on hand such as a dryer, ink, screens, and an assortment of different size and color of t shirts. This could set you back around $1500 for up front costs.

Not all custom t-shirt manufacturers offer the same level of quality. One major difference in the print quality lies in the paper that is used. The more advanced t-shirt printers require commercial grade paper instead of ordinary transfer paper to be used, and the image is transferred to the shirt through a heat press process. Better quality printing can give you impressive printouts that last for a long time even with frequent wash.

First, you choose what kind of fabric you want for your shirt. You can choose this based on personal preference, on your intended need or purpose for the shirt, or on the weather. The usual option is cotton, but there are also synthetic blends. Next, you will be asked to choose your preferred color. The good shops have all the colors and shades you could possibly want. Third, you have to decide on a shirt style. There are plenty of options: tank tops, plain round necks, collared, long-sleeved tees, turtle necks, and so on. Some shops also offer other bonuses such as breast pockets, bands, beads, rhinestones, and so on.

Secondly, you can work in your branding or advertising message onto the shirts. You can design shirts in any possible configuration: printing on the front, back, sleeves and/or hemlines.

Who's gonna wear it?: The first step to creating a T shirt design is to consider your target audience. Specifications such as height, width and gender should be captured.
