As Kate can't quite reach the keys on the fallen dead guard in front of their cage, Jack walks up and grabs the keys, releasing his friends - but not without informing her, "I'm with HIM," (aka, Fake Locke). Well, neener for you, Jack.

That night DeAhnna takes the 7 to the Magic Castle, a private magicians club, from what we are told. Getting there involves a drive down Hollywood Boulevard. We know this because two of the bachelors hang out a window and yell, "hello, Hollywood," just as if they were would-be celebrities fresh off a bus, come to pursue their dream of stardom, rather than men on a mission to woo the woman of their dreams. And, boy, are they convincing as yahoos. If they weren't successful business types with only DeAhnna on their mind, they would probably do alright in Hollywood.

That tension between childhood innocence and adult cynicism - or more simply, the perspective of children vs. the perspective of parents - is a theme that plays out through the entire episode.

As Pete ogles the young girl in front of him, his eyes go from head to toe, stopping at her crossed legs, with a sandal bouncing against the sole of her foot like the second hand on a clock. Cut to Pete lying in bed, later that night, a dripping faucet keeping the same time as the sandal in a slick dissolve.

First of all, there were 2 men who actually had legitimate career jobs in their late 20s and early 30s. The were the creepiest men on the show. The first was Larry, an ER doctor, who could only talk about the fact that he "dipped her all wrong." That of course is a reference to the dance move he concocted that went awry when he tired to dip Des and her dress was caught on something. He was gone gone gone. The other professional was a CREEP named Justin who claimed to be a lawyer. she threw him out before the rose ceremony because he kept trying to sleep with her the first night Kla$$y.

Tell yourself that you're recording them and that you'll spend a full day (or whatever you can manage) to Watch Episode after episode after episode...well, you get the picture (pun intended).

Next morning DeAhnna and her 2nd group date arrive at Dodger Stadium and are greeted by Dodger coach and baseball legend Tommy Lasorda. They start with the guys taking turns trying to sing the national anthem. Har-har. Then they do a 10-pitch each home run derby. By the time they are down to Jeremy and Chris, the final two, only 2 guys have managed to hit 2 homers. Mansion boy Jeremy steps up and smacks 6. Amazing. Former semi-pro baseball player Chris is last up and he wiffs.

In the first episode of the series, the main cast of characters Abe, Joan, and Gandhi are introduced to the viewer. John F. Kennedy throws a party and Abe is recruited to bring the beer.
