Don't forget that baby clothes can also be used in a t-shirt quilt. How cute would it be to have your grandchild use a quilt made from your child's baby clothes? Very cute, actually.

The first thing you need to consider is what to wear your t shirt with. The most obvious option is to wear your t shirt with smart trousers that you would usually wear to the office. Tailored trousers in a dark colour such as black, navy or charcoal help to provide a sleek silhouette whilst focusing the eye on the t shirt. Lighter coloured trousers however such as cream or khaki are more casual in nature and should be avoided when teaming with a t shirt.

When there are two sides to a debate there is almost always a compromise. The same is true with cotton and polyester, a 50/50 blend of the two was soon invented to appease both sides of the debate. These 50/50 blends have a lot of advantages and very few disadvantages. They bring the best of both worlds to one t-shirt. They have the comfort and breathability of cotton with the durability of polyester. They aren't going to shrink as much and they aren't going to wrinkle as much. Of course, a 50/50 blend isn't going to be as comfortable as a 100% cotton shirt but it also isn't going to be as hot as a 100% polyester shirt. That's why its called a compromise.

When it comes to creating the digital artwork for a T-Shirt consider size, resolution, and a few different techniques. Many T-Shirt designers prefer Photoshop or Illustrator, depending on the technique and styles. If its Illustrator resolution doesn't apply, but when using Photoshop its suggested to be in color mode RGB 8-bit, with resolution 300 DPI. Some suggested t-shirt design size is standard (17.5" x 19"), oversized (19" x 25") or All-over (40" x 35"). Next you want to want to decide what color T-shirt you want your design to be printed on, which each T shirt designer has there own colors and qualities. Now that you're ready to start it is up to you to come with originality and creativity to help your graphic tee win.

Now I would like to mention that in this article I have frequently compared T-Shirt transfer printing to screen printing. Screen printing has two distinct benefits. You are able to use white ink and the ink for screen printing is designed specifically for fabric.

Once your special quilt is finished, the best part happens. Now you can use it to stay warm. It is designed to conveniently be used on your bed during the night as well as for naps, in the living room while watching T.V., for soccer games, softball games, football games, lacrosse games, baseball games, keeping the kids warm in the backseat on road trips - short, medium and long. The list is virtually endless...

This method enables you to get complex photographic and multi-colored images and that too in without too much of mess. However there are some limitations of this process. Every time you want to print a t-shirt you need to cut the shape that you want to be printed and remove the part that you do not want on the t-shirt. This takes up a lot of time and the process becomes non-feasible if you need to do the work in bulk.
