Xfinity TV- is free for Comcast users but you have to have an account already. However, as the networks and cable companies are still in a disagreement there are only a few network shows they offer. You will notice the big networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, & Fox) are missing, however they do have HBO, but not all the series are offered. You can only use the application through a Wi-Fi network but the application is easy to use and the TV shows on your iPad are of good quality.

Selections abound of sites that offer tv show downloads on the Web. Choose a provider; register for an account; submit payment; get access and then begin downloading. Instantly you will have a library of programs and movies waiting for you to peruse. Some of these sites even provide music, games and software.

Of course, there are the many made-for-TV movies based upon books by Nora Roberts, Danielle Steel, and other authors that have filled time slots at Lifetime and the Hallmark Channel. What about series, though? In my search for a good example, I've found if anything comes closes it's typically a book or series geared toward younger readers. Pretty Little Liars airs currently airs on ABC Family, and Gossip Girl (based on Cecily Von Ziegesar's books) recently finished a lengthy run on the CW Network. Not all adaptations prove as popular as the books, however. Candace Bushnell's Lipstick Jungle and Gabriella Pierce's 666 Park Avenue did not last long on the small screen.

Another benefit for those who like working with the computers, they do not need to pay extra for cable TV. They can watch CBS, TV shows online or any tv series online without a television either. In fact, this is a double savings, as computer screens are great mediums for TV shows and TV series. Getting to watch TV on a split screen of the computer can make the online work less tedious. This way, no one need miss anything, they get to watch 'How I Met Your Mother' on real time. This can be done easily by going to sites where there are online TV shows.

The second one is 28 Days Later (I'll include the sequel, 28 weeks later as well). 28 Days Later is a 2002 British Horror Film which depicts the breakdown of society. It is filled with a lot of suspense and horror. So how does society break down? Some unfortunate soul releases a highly contagious rage virus which spreads like wildfire. The movie is based on four survivors who try and cope in this strange, new environment and finds way to stay away from the blood-thirsty zombies.

I don't particularly like Elena Gilbert. She's a silly, shallow, self-centered creature, the sort of stereotypically pretty, popular teenage girl who makes real teenage girls blush with shame. The TV version of Elena is the same way, but the book takes the stereotype a wee bit further by making her a Southern girl. Elena Gilbert is actually the vacuous ice princess Scarlett O'Hara (who was actually quite intelligent, but played dumb to attract boys) was pretending to be. Compared to Elena, Scarlett is a Jimmy Carter-esque humanitarian. Much ado has been made about Bella Swan's helpless, self-destructive behavior in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series, but Elena could wear that crown just as easily.

Nor is L. J. Smith's writing style a particularly literary one. She can be forgiven for this, perhaps, because she's writing for a young adult audience. The easy-breezy, fashion-mag tone of the book is ill-suited to its dark subject material. It's like Elena mistakenly fell off the cover of Teen Vogue and into a pulp horror novel. For readers with more sophisticated tastes, this will hardly do.
